My daughters just lost their Grandpa on December . My oldest was with her Grandparents the  Life is just better when I’m with my Grandkids shirt  her Grandpa passed away. This definitely needs looking at, it is an absolute disgrace the You had me at I need to sell my house shirt people are in trying to sell their houses, please this morning team let’s see if you can help. My fiancé and I have just bought our first house at ages 25 and 22 respectively. We worked hard and we saved for it and paid off a wedding at the same time 23 days to go ahhhh . But saying that, we live in the North East! Could we have bought by now living down South  Nope We made use of help to buy and our mortgage is only £25 more than we were paying rent. We rent because we have children. But when you pay £600+ rent and all the bills that come too it’s really difficult to save for any sort of deposit. My husband has owned his own home in the past so we don’t qualify for any first time buyer schemes. Seems impossible to get anywhere as house prices around.

Saving hard to hopefully get a mortgage next year  whilst currently renting privately even with a good deposit & government help from the You had me at I need to sell my house shirt to buy scheme it’s looking impossible due to the huge house prices  I’ve been on the waiting list for rented housing for 10 years. I’ve lost hope now. I’m in the first band As well. Which means I’m a high priority. Some joke that is. I’ve only had one offer in them 10 years. I couldn’t accept it due to the property not being suitable for my disability. I need my own property asap. As struggling with mental health and I can’t start therapy for that until I’ve got my own place and away from my current town. I’d love to be a first time buyer though. We have rented for 7 years never missed a payment yet can’t get a mortgage because we don’t have a deposit we where accepted for the let to buy scheme but that was waste time still needed a minimum of10,000 and with a toddler it’s impossible to save while paying rent child care and every day cost of living I don’t think we will ever own a house until we inherit witch is not something I want to happen any time soon.
